Corin-Asia Myanmar In Action




CORIN-Asia Myanmar is engaged in various activities that promote wise use of coastal resources, sustainable fisheries management, livelihood development, institutional strengthening and capacity building, community development as well as contribute to building change-resilient communities. To achieve these, it endeavors to work with various stakeholders across different sectors, and in the process, it creates the necessary linkages and a strong network.
Corin-Asia Myanmar Director Invited in Thailand

Corin-Asia Myanmar and DoF Dialogue 2014




CORIN-Asia Myanmar Director, Captain Win Naing, was invited as a resource person by the National Food Institute (NFI) of Thailand, to a workshop about “Opportunities for Investment in Myanmar’s Seafood Sector” on September 19, 2013 held at Arnoma Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. He made a presentation about prospects in the seafood industry in Myanmar.
The workshop intended to explore possibilities of investment and to provide useful information to pave a path for future Thai entrepreneurs to invest in the seafood processing industry in Myanmar. It is expected that this cooperation will enhance the competitive capabilities of both countries as it creates a strong and long lasting bond of friendship.
Around 150 to 200 participants from both countries, Myanmar and Thailand, attended the said Workshop. Among the participants who attended were the Minister of Union of Myanmar, Deputy Minister of Myanmar, and Director General of the Department of Fisheries (DOF) of Myanmar and other Department of Fisheries (DOF) Myanmar delegates from Nay Pyi Taw, and DoF Thailand. It was also attended by the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
